Sara Goodwin
Sara Goodwin has more than 25 years of strategic communications and public relations experience with a unique combination of professional roles in agency, corporate, nonprofit, association, consultative and quasi-governmental settings. Sara’s highly collaborative spirit offers distinct value to Catalyst and its clients, and in her role, she provides strategic communications direction and leads the firm’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) client service.
Prior to joining the Catalyst team, Sara served as the Communications Director for the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) where she directed communications and media relations strategy for the organization, its programs, staff and board leadership, and she acted as the primary media contact and spokesperson.
Preceding the RAQC, Sara founded Goodwin Communications Inc., where she used her last name as a guide – GOOD for community, WIN for business – to consult clients on public relations and marketing communication programs. Sara also directed communications strategy for a national trade association and the iconic Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner. campaign, was the primary media spokesperson for the U.S. beef industry and led crisis and issues communications strategy for multiple animal health and food safety issues.
In addition to volunteering on the Board of Directors for the Douglas County Community Foundation, Sara also volunteers as vice chair of the South Metro Denver Chamber's Partners in Philanthropy Group. She holds a master's degree in Technical Communications from Colorado State University, bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Colorado, and a Certificate in CSR from CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business.
Sara resides in Lone Tree with her husband, three children and two dogs.
