Kirsten Swanson-Moore

Kirsten Swanson began her career with DCCF in May 2024 as the Director of Development, and within a few months was named Interim Executive Director during the Foundation’s candidate search for the top executive position. As the Executive Director, Swanson is responsible for leading and advancing the organization’s vision, strategic initiatives and priorities and serves as the lead fundraiser to build a perpetual endowment for granting and meeting financial and operational goals to sustain the organization.
Most recently Swanson worked as the Advisor Relations Officer for The Denver Foundation and has had a long career in the Nonprofit sector across multiple states. She proudly graduated from Columbia University’s Masters in Nonprofit Program, has written for Nonprofit Quarterly, and helped launch her families own private foundation serving youth in Alaska. Swanson specializes in development and strategic planning; and enjoys building relationships that result in meaningful and impactful change.
When not working, she serves as the Vice President of the Board for About Face Radio, a Colorado nonprofit focusing on the mental health of veterans and first responders. Swanson, her husband who serves in the Air Force, and their family like to explore, thrift shop, and watch Rapids games. They have loved planting their roots in the Centennial State.
